I am a physician, scientist, entrepreneur and author of the book, Rewired: Protecting Your Brain in the Digital Age. The goal of the book is to educate everyone about the importance of creating a more healthy relationship with technology to improve our physical and our overall mental health.
As a psychiatrist and social neuroscientist, I had a front row seat doing research on the impact of mobile media, information and communications technology on consumer behaviors. What I saw and what we learned nearly a decade ago working with large brands and top media companies was deeply concerning. We are all changing our technology habits on a massive global scale with very real and negative consequences. We are more distracted, divided and depressed than ever.
